The YTCA UK Under 13 and Under 16 touring teams began on a winning note with victories against the Morpeth Cricket Club in matches played at the scenic Morpeth Cricket Groungs in Durham UK. The teams are on a 2 week tour of Duhram where the boys will be playing against local club teams.

In the first match of 25 overs a side, YTCA U 13 dismissed Morpeth Under 13 for a modest score of 73 runs in 21 overs. Nathan Byatt scored a patient innings of 13 and Thomas Davidson top scored with 15 runs. Nidhruv R took 3 wickets for 8 runs while Adil Ali and Aditya G took 2 wickets each. Rahul Nambiar took 1 wicket.

In reply,YTCA knocked off the runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Captain Rithik Israni scored a fine 13 while Aneesh Vasudevan starred with a brilliant 37 not out to take YTCA to victory in 16 overs.

In the second match, Morpeth CC won the toss and batted first. Morpeth scored only 83 runs in 22 overs. Aviston top scored with 16 runs. Priyadarshan , Joel and Rahul Bhatia took 2 wickets each while Vaibhav , Sidharth and Shashwik took 1 wicket each. In reply – YTCA lost an early wicket but Bharath Srinivasan hit a match winning 37 and had a useful partnership with Abhishek Nair who scored 17 not out as YTCA ended at 84 for 2 in 15 overs.
