The Young Talent Cricket Academy returned from UK on a winning note. Both the Under 16 team and the Under 19 team won all their matches against local clubs in Durham.

The Under 16 team also won the T20 tournament held at the South Shields Cricket Club.

Geoff Cook from the Durham County Cricket Club gave away the awards to the following cricketers:

Under 16

Best Batsman –  Bharath Srinivasan

Best Bowler  –  Priyadarshan Nagasubramanian

Player of the Tournament – Rahul Bhatia

Under 19

Best Batsman – Vishakh Chandrasekhar

Best Bowler –    Siddhant Jhurani

Player of the Tournament –  Sairaj Venkat

Shahzad Altaf – Director YTCA congratulated all the players who had  performed so well on turf wickets in England and thanked Geoff Cook and John Windows from the Durham Country Cricket Club for all their support and Allen Clarke who had helped in arranging the matches.

He also thanked Jehangir Khan of the Best Western Ryokan Hotel for all the excellent arrangements made for the touring squad.
