The touring YTCA cricketers lost to Tynedale CC in a match played at Hexham in UK. YTCA won the toss and elected to bat and put up an impressive total of 218 for 7 in their 40 overs. Bharath Sreenivasan scored an impressive 38 and other top scorers included Aditya Mavuru , Ranjit Singh and Vishakh Chandrasekhar who all contributed well. However – they failed to capitalise on their strong starts and YTCA ended the innings at 218 although a score of 250 looked likely at the end of the 30th over. J Renton took 2 wickets for 30 and Bailey chipped in with 2 for 10.
Vaibhav Chandrasekhar bowled an amazing spell of swing bowling at the start of the Tynedale innings and Tynedale was in early trouble at 20 for 2 but an amazing century by T Cant took the game away. Cant hit six fours and 2 sixes in his 110 and the YTCA bowlers could not defend the score of 218 as Tynedale knocked off the runs in the 29th over. Vaibhav finished with 2 for 27 in his 8 overs with 2 maidens. Aditya took 1 for 37.
