The touring YTCA team enjoyed back to back successes on their UK tour with fine victories over Washington and Sacriston Cricket Club.

In a match played at the Sacriston ground in Durham, YTCA s batted first and got off to a fine start with Abrar Khazi scoring a fine 38 and Bharat Srinivasan scoring an elegant 44.  After losing a couple of wickets quickly, captain Sairaj Venkat and Vishakh Chandrasekhar had a fantastic third wicket partnership of 206 runs to take YTCA to a huge score of 334 for 4 in 40 overs. Sairaj hit a fine 127 with 14 fours and 3 sixes while Vishakh hit 10 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten knock of 81 runs.Neil Hall took 2 wickets for 42 runs.

In reply, Sacriston got off to a poor start and wickets fell regularly and the entire team was all our for 77 runs as YTCA won the match with a huge margin of 257 runs. Priyadarshan , Sidhant Jhurani and Joel John took 2 wickets while Shashwik Shetty took 3 wickets for 3 runs.

Sairaj Venkat was adjudged the Man of the Match for his fine century.

In an earlier match, YTCA defeated South Shields CC by 156 runs in a match played at the South Shields ground, Batting first, YTCA collapsed to 70 for 7 before a fine partnership between Sairaj who scored 72 and Rahul Bhatia who scored 30 restored order. Joel hit a fine 23 to take YTCA to a score of 220 for 8 in 55 overs.  Sajiv , Graham Dunn, B Flaxen and V Watson took 2 wickets each,

In reply, South Shields collapsed to 64 all out as the YTCA bowlers were in fine form. Vaibhav took 1 wicket ,Joel, Sidhant Jhurani and Rahul Bhatia took 2 wickets while Abhishek Nair tool 3 wickets for 6 runs.
